Part-Time Special Needs Nanny | Miami, FL

Kind and busy family of three in Miami is looking for a part-time nanny to start ASAP. The schedule will be weekday afternoons 2:30-8pm. Care will be for their 7-year-old neurodivergent son who is very intelligent and high functioning but does have ADHD and needs help with redirection. Familiarity with ABA, noncompliance, and reward systems would be especially helpful. 

Responsibilities:

• Providing a warm and loving environment
• Care and engagement of the child including enrichment in age-appropriate activities that foster physical, social, and emotional growth including designing a schedule of activities (inside and outside the home) that foster creativity and help the child progress in development. The family limits screentime. 
• Driving including school picks ups and driving to after school activities. School is within walking distance to the home so most of the time the nanny would just walk to and from school with the child. 
• Helping with simple meal preparation/cooking dinner for the child 
• Load/unload dishwasher 
• Managing the tidiness and organization of the child's spaces and belongings
• Possibly child laundry if there is time but the child is the priority 

Desired Qualifications:

• Patient but firm with children
• Able to provide consistency and be structured in approach and routine 
• Comfortable swimming with children in the pool and ocean would be nice to have 
• The ability to speak Spanish would be ideal as the child attends a dual language Spanish/English school 

Requirements:

• Experience with children with Autism and/or special needs 
• Already local to Miami
• Comfortable with a friendly dog in the home. The dog is crate trained but the family would appreciate a nanny willing to let the dog out in the yard when needed 
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record; mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS mileage reimbursement rate
• Legal to work in the US

Salary & Benefits:

$30-35 per hour depending on experience and background 

Standard benefits including PTO, holidays, and sick days.
